This is our last day in Buenos Aires, our journey ends tomorrow when we fly back home to Honolulu. We spent the day at Feria De Mataderos, a fair held every Sunday where they have dancing, pony rides, crafts and a bunch of food!
They have these weird snacks...can anybody tell me what this is? It's some kind of candied popcorn with some weird black stuff on top. It kinda looks like prunes from far away but when you look up close it's some kind of candy. I think.

This place looks interesting. The black stuff on the popcorn looked interesting. Don't know about fruit on the popcorn though. The other dishes looked good! Sorry to hear your trip is ending. Hope you've had a good time. I'm sure it will be good to get home but then you have to go back to work! Yuck!! :) Have thoroughly enjoyed traveling with you through your photos!!
glad you enjoyed it Betty! It's neat being able to keep in touch while on vacation! I'm sooo not looking to go back to work but I'm excited to see my dogs!
Wow, it is hard to believe you are coming back already! The food looks so interesting, the stew looks so ono too. Welcome home!
I've never known of anybody else from Hawaii visiting Argentina. Quite unique.
yah it was quite an experience! I would recommend people who want to come here to learn a little Spanish cause hardly anyone speaks English here...it can make things a little difficult! Ugh!
Les, you are probably in the air somewhere or you could already be home. Been thinking about you and your husband all day with all that's been on the news about swine flu. Hope you both are ok. Welcome home!! I'm sure your dogs will be so happy to see you!!
Thanks Betty...we made it home in one piece, not sure about the flu yet, but so far we're feeling fine. The dogs were pretty excited to see us! :)
Hey Les,
Do you remember what the "greens" were in the LOCRO ?? I have been trying to perfect it after seeing your blog. Also, was there squash in it ??
ahhh! I don't remember! I'll check with my husband, but I do recall something squash-like floating in there! I'll go check out the rest of the pics and figure out what the greens were...
