Seattle, Washington

Since we were unable to go to La Push due to the horrible storm, Jalna said she no longer wanted to stay in Port Angeles. So we hopped in the car and drove back to Seattle last night and started another adventure today! We began our day by heading to Ballards Locks. It was a bit nippy out there, good thing we brought warm clothes!I'm not sure if you can tell but the water levels are uneven.
there's also a cute garden at the Locks...
Next stop: Bruce & Brandon Lee's gravestone
Kerry Park
Jalna's modeling debut...
Hey Jalna, can you take my picture in front of the Space Needle?........????!!??!!
And finally, Pike Place Market
I heard about this bubble gum wall and always wanted to go...
It's really gross but we have to participate!!

Well our journey ends tomorrow, thanks for joining us on our adventure!!

Hurricane Ridge
Port Angeles

Ok, so we were so excited when we walked out the door this morning because we looked up at the mountains and it was covered with snow!! We rushed to the car and headed to Hurricane Ridge, and this is what we ran into:

Of course, we're so hard headed, we try and go up the mountain anyways...supposedly high gale force winds and thick fog forced the closure of the road. I guess this storm is worse than we thought!
Since this storm decided to hamper our trip we went to take a look around Port Angeles in the RAIN >:(
There's really not much to do here...
we were hoping to see some sea otters but I guess they were hiding from the storm also
it's hard to tell, but these are the storm clouds that were about to drench us in about 20 minutes!

Look where we're headed today!!!

The forecast calls for snow on Hurricane Ridge!! What's so cool is that the entrance to the mountain is literally about a mile from our house. I just hope the 17 mile trek up the mountain isn't too crazy!! Stay tuned...more to come!

Sol Duc
Hurricaine Ridge

We awoke to a beauuuutiful morning and since we were all up at the crack of dawn we headed out to Sol Duc bright and early. And due to our early-bird arrival, we practically had the whole forest to ourselves. Mother Nature once again was taking care of us :)

Sole Duck?
Wow. Those are some big trees.
Sol Duc Falls
Who's that stranger behind Jalna??
The weather was still beautiful when we left Sol Duc so we thought we'd take our chances and head over to Hurricane Ridge today also. We're expecting a big storm so most likely we won't be doing any outdoor activities tomorrow. Unfortunately the weather fairies were exhausted from watching over us and they decided to let loose when we reached the ridge. IT WAS RAINING AND FREEZING!!
I don't know if you can see this but it says 36 degrees! Not including the wind chill factor...
What was so strange was that if you drove down the hill for two minutes, it looked like this:

Who knows what's in store for us tomorrow...check back later and see what we decide!
