Erick and I volunteered to be the photographers at this year's Hawaii Music Awards. I thought it would be a good experience for me, plus I could practice my flash photography (yuk!). Note to self: Listen to more Hawaiian music so you know who all these people are!! I think I recognized all of 3 people in the room :\ Oh well, it was fun anyways!
We were all squished in this tiny room and I swear I was in EVERYONE'S way...not much room to move around to get the best shots. We did get permission to sit right in front of the stage though!

Great pictures. We've seen Makana in concert with Na Leo several years ago. They were in the East Bay area for a Christmas concert. He is awesome!
