Central Park
Today was the perfect day to go to the park, 60's and sunny...on the way over there I saw this billboard for the movie "Where the Wild Things Are." I wanna see it, I think it will be cute :)
For you camera peoples...I tried to lighten my load today, no huge bag, and I changed lenses to only my 50mm. I was hoping to be using a spankin 5D Mark II by now, but I was unsuccessful.
A beautiful day in Sheep's Meadow...or is this the Great Lawn?? Who knows? I swear every grassy area is the Great Lawn to me!!
After getting lost and walking around in circles, we finally made it to Belvedere's Castle
After the park, I split from the gang and I headed off to Symphony Space. Today was the memorial ceremony for the great Frank McCourt. I tried to get tickets but they were by invite only...I'm not important enough to get tickets, I guess :( This was the closest I could get to say mines and Jalna's final goodbye...

I then headed off to Dylan's Candy Bar to buy some goodies for my sister and her family...this is the coolest candy shop ever!!

Love the pictures, looks like you all are having a great time. The nephews sure are handsome looking kids. Candy shop, mercy - major sugar overload!! :)
Betty -- yah, it's a good thing I went alone!! It's a really neat shop!
Wow, Les thanks for saying my goodbye for me. You got really close. It's pretty neat that you were there on the day of Frank McCourt's memorial service. I feel like I knew him so well even though I never met him. I haven't been able to listen to his audio books since he passed away . . . too sad still.
WAAAAAHHH!! I was actually sad when I went there. good thing I was by myself.
Nice shooting with the 50mm. Are you getting a 5D? I JELLOS again!!!
wanting and actually getting are two different things :( I was actually gonna impulse buy it when I got here but B&H is closed for some Jewish holiday for the whole week...maybe it's a sign that I should wait...
