Pali Lookout
Ok, so here's how the story went..."Eh, Aunty Leslie, can you take me to the Pali Lookout?" "Sure Dylan, when do you want to go?" "Oh, you can take me tomorrow." "Ok, I'll come and get you after work..."
So, I drove from town to Kailua to pick up Dylan, drove back to town to go to the Pali Lookout...drove back to Kailua to drop him off, then drove back to town to go home. WE STAYED THERE FOR ALL OF 15 MINUTES. Damn kid.
Here he is with his bag of toys. Who knows why he insisted on bringing this with him. He never even opened it. Aunty Leslie had to carry it for 10 of the 15 minutes that we were there.
As usual, it was pretty windy when we got there

You're the best Auntie EVER! Those pictures are awesome. I remember going there when we were kids and playing in the wind.
hahaah at least somebody thinks so! :) Actually, I suck as an aunty. I've babysat maybe 3? times, and changed one doo-doo diaper...I guess she doesn't really trust me with her kids! hahaha!
That is so funny- did you have to pay too? Darren had to pay when he took the girls there last month. I wonder why he wanted to go? Maybe he just wanted some aunty time.
Hey - good for you to get Dylan to smile! Though it was only 15 minutes, it looks like he totally enjoyed himself :)
Awwwww, what a good aunty!! So cute da pictures.
Jenny -- no, thank goodness, only non-residents gotta pay for parking. There wasn't even a guy there watching to see if anybody was paying! Gramma and Grampa took him a couple of times the last few weeks. I guess it was my turn :|
Pam - surprising yah?
Jalna - aren't you gonna ask why I don't have pictures of the path??
Good Job! At least he's not crying! Yes, you need to work on your Aunty Time, but it's a start! BTW...my favorite is the shot when he's walking away with his rolly bag! :)
He is so cute! Smart too, he made you drive all over the place and you even carried his toys. Definitely executive material.
Sandy - meet Dylan. Dylan, meet Sandy. No, this is not Quentin, it is Dylan...hahahaaha! That's one of my favorite pictures too :)
Erick...don't give him any ideas. >:(
A good aunty wouldn't complain about how much she had to go back and forth for only 15 min. I have to admit though, that was an aunty-ish act.
Das why I'm a junk aunty :) But thanks for the bonus points!
Umm . . . okay . . . by the way, why don't you have pictures of the path like I suggested?
"Dylan, let's go down there..." "No aunty it's dangerous." I grab his hand. "C'mon, I'll hold your hand." (kinda pulling by now...) "NO AUNTY LESLIE IT'S DANGEROUS! IT'S TOO WINDY! AAAAGGHHHH!" (In a high pitched scream) "Ok, we don't have to go down then." "Yah, we can go home now." :|
When I brought him back to my mom's house I told the story to my dad and he told me that he told him "don't go down there it's dangerous!" damnit! Thanks for the warning dad! I bet he was just too lazy to go down there.
AHAHAHAHA!! Never trust a grownup.
