Canon contest, take 5

Yes, it's that time of year again...the dreaded Canon contest. This year the theme was "Hawaii No Ka Oi." I swear it's getting harder and harder every year! Of course, and like always, it's getting down to the wire (the deadline is Feb. 28th) and I'm scrambling for something to turn in. These are the three I chose:

I'm not sure if you can read it but the headline on the newspaper reads "Storm blankets South with snow, ice."

Aiea Bowl

My co-worker Joslyn set up a bowling night for us at Aiea Bowl...I came to the conclusion that I completely suck as a bowler. I think I should stick to soccer...I didn't take too many pictures either, maybe I was too busy talking story or something! Hahaha! sorry! Next time I'll take more or I'll drag Jalna with me so she can take the pictures!! :)

Ann Pearl Nursing Home

Wow, I didn't realize that it's been a month since I've posted a blog. I've been busy, well, not really busy but you can blame Jalna...you can see why here. She's the one that told me that the new game came out!

Anyways, my gramma (who just turned 97 in January) attended Ann Pearl's Valentines Sweetheart Dance. I'm not sure why it was on the 19th but nonetheless it was ADORABLE! I was expecting to be listening to old fuddy-duddy music all night but no! They played everything but that! Hip hop, top 40, disco...the residents had a great time.

**Unfortunately I've been advised to remove the CUTE pictures of the other residents because I didn't get consent from their family members first :(
