Azaleah and Jeffrey -- The shoot that almost never happened!

Baby Makapuu

My co-worker Aralyza's twin sister is getting married soon and they're here visiting from Washington so they asked me if I could take a few "Save the Date" pics...these guys were so much fun!

Oh, so if you were wondering why this shoot almost never happened, well...it was dumping rain at my house so it's a good thing I have my personal meterologist (Jalna!) giving me updates every hour on the weather.  By 4:00 we were getting worried because she said it was starting to get windy in Hawaii Kai.  I met Ara a little after 5 and they followed me to Baby Makapuu.  We got stuck in the most horrible traffic jam ever!  We didn't reach there until almost 6:00.  Poor things, once we got out of traffic I was flying it over to the beach...I was losing sunlight!  Good thing they were good sports because this shoot was fast and easy! Finished in about 40 minutes...

Dora and Dr. Seuss' Aerial ABC's

Artzone Hawaii

My good friend Dora has been taking aerial silk classes for a few years now and I finally got a chance to see her perform!  She invited me and my other girlfriend Chi to Artzone Hawaii, a house on the Pali that is converted into a mini theater.  It's pretty neat, you should go check it out!  Dr. Seuss' Aerial ABC's was the theme for this event, it was AMAZING!! Unfortunately it was reallllly dark in there, so it was one of the hardest shoots I've ever had to do.  Of course I couldn't use a flash...ugh!

The Teradas

Heeia State Park

Hmmmm....out of all the pics that I take of my sister's family (yah, I know, not that much!) I don't think i've ever taken their family Christmas pics.  Don't blame only me though!  We can never get our schedules straight.  I was feeling like crap today, i've been sick for the last few days but I figured if I don't do it now I'd never get another chance.

Kinda cute...I didn't even have to tell them to pose.  They just hopped to it!

I wonder how long it will be before I do this again...

Brrr...but I love it!

We woke up this chilly morning and went for a walk around the city...
IMG_1717

Didn't take any pics, my hands were too cold.  It was gonna be a beautiful day.  Not a cloud in the sky.  We went to Supper for an early lunch - we didn't eat dinner last night, I wasn't feeling well.  Thank god Supper opened at 10.  Randy was in the mood for some pasta.

He ordered Orecchiette with broccoli rabe & Italian sausage.  It was ok.
IMG_1723

I got Spaghetti al Limone.  I read about it on yelp.  It really doesn't look like much but it was delicious!
IMG_1724

If you look closely you can see the Empire State Building in the background.  That's what I get when I'm too lazy to bring my camera.  Sometimes the camera phone isn't that great...
IMG_1726

We headed for Chelsea Market, Randy was still hungry :-O.  I've actually never been here, but it was a madhouse in there.  I think everyone in the city was in this one area at the same time.
IMG_1728

Los Tacos No. 1 - he ordered a carne asada taco and a cactus (I forget the Mexican name) one.  They were both really good.
IMG_1729

I guess that wasn't enough food because he wanted some oysters after that.

Taking some selfies on the Highline...

IMG_1746

Yes.  He's still hungry.  He said he didn't eat "meat" that's why.  I guess Carne Asada doesn't count.  He wanted a sandwich.  A freakin big ass salami sandwich.
IMG_1739

A stoopid bird pooped on my shoe on the way back.  But one shit on Randy's shoulder so I guess I can't complain.
IMG_1738

IMG_1742

He even got a little more salami to snack on for later...
IMG_1743

At about 10:00 he went to grab a pizza from down the street.  It was ok,  I didn't bother taking a pic of it.  Tomorrow is our last day in the city.  I'm not ready to go home yet :(
