Fireworks at Magic Island

It's been a long time since I took pictures of fireworks and since we were picnicking (is that how you spell it??) at Magic Island, I thought this would be a good opportunity to brush up on my skills. It was a very cloudy and windy evening...and it's a good thing I set up my stuff early because the fireworks started at 7:45!! We were expecting it to start to 8:00...

So as you can see, I wasn't ready!!

I'm not sure it was because of the wind but do you notice the drag in some of the streaks?

The Shack, Waikiki

Excessive Celebrations and Hawaii Meals on Wheels held a fundraising event at The Shack in Waikiki featuring University of Hawaii's own Colt Brennan, Davone Bess, and Ryan Mouton!

They held a silent auction, and 100% of the proceeds went to Meals on Wheels. There were a ton of memorabilia to be won...jerseys,

autographed footballs...

helmets...

And lots of signed pictures

The guys also graciously were signing autographs for the hundreds of fans that showed up for the event.

Fans brought along their own souvenirs to be signed...

Someone even brought a pair of shoes!

There was lots of good food and drinks, and after all (well, most) of the autographs were signed, the boys actually were able to get something to eat...

Overall the night was a huge success, great for the fans of Hawaii and especially great for Meals on Wheels. Thanks Kyle! This was fun!
