Happy Early Birthday To Me!!

Pam and the family are leaving today so we celebrated my birthday a couple of days early.  Pam made me a big cookie since we were limited on our ingredients here in the cabin.  She had brought up the big tub of cookie dough from Costco and we didn't wanna let it go to waste :) It was yummy!

After the boys got back from a morning of snowboarding (yah, Pam, Nikki and I stayed home...I was too sore to go out today) we drove out to Big Bear Lake to get some family pics

I think I need a haircut.

Big Bear with the Campbells

OUCH!!! I'm in pain.  It's been about 5 years since I last went snowboarding, and it seems like I'm starting all over again. I've ate it HARD at least once every day on my butt and now it  hurts when I sneeze.  But even with all the pain I'm still having a blast...Pam got some great shots up on the mountain cause I was too lazy to bust out my phone.

BIg Bear 2013...

Los Angeles and Big Bear, CA

Happy Valentines Day everyone!! Randy and I are spending a few days up here in Big Bear and then we're heading to Vegas next week.  It's a bit chilly, can't wait to get the fireplace going.  We brought our boards up with us and we're ready to hit the slopes tomorrow!! We spent our first night in LA and made the trek out here this morning.  We stopped by Langers first.  We heard that they have the best Pastrami sandwiches in Los Angeles...

This beef brisket was really good.  I looooved the bread.

The pastrami was good too, but I think I like the traditional ones better.

I must've really enjoyed it cause I almost finished it all.  Randy had to eat the rest for me...

After a trip to the store and about a 2 hr drive, we finally made it to Big Bear!  I love the cabin, it's walking distance to the slopes and it's nice and comfy

Yah, we're expecting company tomorrow....

3660 on The Rise

The staff from The Grove and Ola needed a photographer for their belated holiday event.  If you remember a few weeks ago, I took some pics at The Grove for their 1st anniversary party.  Brandy, the owner asked if I could join them again for an 80's prom theme event.  These guys are so much fun!  Kinda crazy, but everyone had a great time.  

Everyone dressed for the occasion, and of course had their prom pictures taken with their date...

The votes were counted and the winners were:

This guy is gonna be leaving for the mainland soon, he must've been a REALLY good worker...if I remember correctly, they got him a $250 GC to IKEA, $250 GC to Trader Joes, and another $200 to someplace I can't remember.  Wow.

At the end of the party there was a dance off...They had to show off all of their 80's dance moves.  Winner won a 47" TV!!

 

As you can see, Ola won the dance off. It was pretty cool because one employee from each restaurant made it to the finals!
