Dylan's soccer game

Kapunahala Elementary
Kaneohe, HI

Dylan is playing soccer!  I was excited when I first heard that Karie signed him up.  I was finally able to watch one of his games today, and lets just say he needs a little work.  Hopefully after a few more practice sessions and a few more games he'll get the hang of it.  One of these days I'll take him to the park so we can kick a few balls around.  Maybe he'll be more excited to get out there and play! :)

warmin up...

Baby Keala

September 3 & September 22, 2013

Anne gave birth to baby #4 (!!!!) earlier this month.  Ke'alapo'i Chiyoko Ito was born on September 22 to proud parents Anne and Kevin.  I don't know where they find the energy to raise 4 kids.  I can barely take care of my two dogs!

Kathy, Jalna and I went to visit them in the hospital and we almost had to call security because Kathy wanted kidnap and take her home with her...

It's a little late but I was finally able to head over to Anne's house to take her newborn pics.  I can't believe how cute she is...she looks so much like Kawana'ao!

We tried for a siblings photo, we weren't too successful.  This was the only one that remotely came out.  Maybe we'll try that another day...

Niagara Falls

Monday, September 9, 2011

I'm up in Rochester, NY for Carestream training.  Anyone been to Rochester? Anyone? Anyone? No?  I think I know why...there's absolutely NOTHING to do here!  The closest attraction is Niagara Falls, which is about and hour and a half away.  We flew in on Sunday and since our class doesn't start till Tuesday, I jumped at the chance to go.  Unfortunately my co-worker wasn't interested so I ended up going by myself.

Luckily I found a tour that took me to all the main sites for $65.  It actually was a good deal, it lasted 4 hours!

We started off at the Whirlpool

Next was the Cave of the Winds...does anyone remember the Thompson's Waterseal commercial?  This is the place!

I saw this critter while I was waiting for my poncho...he kinda grossed me out

I had to put my camera away pretty quickly.  The water was nuts!!  I was able to get some pics on my iphone instead...I actually got kinda scared of doing that after awhile too cause if my phone died I woulda been in a lot of trouble!

This is actually the nicer falls but there was so much mist that it was difficult to get good pics

We went up to the observation deck before the boat ride...

I was actually very hesitant to step on this boat.  For those of you who know me know that I get seasick very easily and I knew this wasn't gonna be a calm ride.  Carlos mentioned that the ride was only 20 minutes so I thought I'd chance it...

After the Maid of the Mist our tour was over.  I went ahead and walked across the bridge to Canada, hoping to check out the falls from that side.  But from the look of this picture the falls were pretty far away and I was too lazy to make the trek over there.  Besides I figured the mist would be really bad from that side too and my pics still wouldn't turn out.

I think I was in Canada for maybe an hour.  I took me longer to go through customs on the way back!
