Blue Angels

San Francisco

This was the craziest weekend to be in San Francisco. EVER. Seriously...the Giants are in the playoffs, and playing at home.  The 49ers are on a winning streak and playing at home.  It's Fleet Week, didja know that?  The Blue Angels are flying all over the city. Can't you hear it?  Oh yah and did I mention that there was some kind of a bluegrass festival down at Golden Gate Park?  Yah. Ukumillion people are migrating to the city to join in on the festivities.  NUTS!!

Randy wanted to see the Blue Angels fly by the Golden Gate Bridge. Surprisingly after patiently waiting we were able to find a good parking spot.  Of course I was unprepared, and the only lens I had was my 50mm.  They actually flew pretty low so it worked out in the end....

We were kinda worried at first cause it was pretty cloudy.  A few planes were flying around when we got there and they disappeared behind the clouds, no where to be seen.

Did you have earplugs when you took the pics? Because....when they practice and fly over our house in Kaneohe it's so loud and we have to cover our ears!

Thanks Jalna!

Michele - no we never had earplugs, never need...except one time I was taking pictures of one plane and another came in from the other direction REALLY LOW and I didn't know, it scared the crap out of me!

Yah I was quite surprised...a lot of my pictures looked like little dots but I'm happy with what I got.
