London mishmash

May 1, 2012

This room irritated the crap out of me.  We stayed at Shaftesbury Hotels London because we cancelled our original reservations due to bedbugs.  We made the reservations the moment we decided that we didn't wanna stay in a hotel that gives me the heebeejeebees.  We arrived and they couldn't find my reservation.  Thank god for technology cause I forwarded the confirmation email to my phone so I was able to show it to them when we checked in.  They had to put us in another location around the corner cause there were no rooms available in the original location.

I was annoyed when I walked into the room.  Randy told me be thankful cause there were no critters lingering around in there.

Here's the bathroom.  If you look closely there's a small clear glass towards the right edge of the tub.  THIS IS THE ONLY PROTECTION THAT THE SHOWER HAS FOR THE WATER TO STAY IN THE BATH.  It's absolutely ridiculous.  By the time we got out of the shower we practically flooded the bathroom floor.  I wasn't about to sit in the tub again to take a shower.
Look how close the bed is to this desk!  Of course this was my side of the bed so either I had to hop on the bed to get to the other side of the room or I had to squeeze between the two.
This is the room with a sick husband lying on the bed...
The next morning we were heading back home...

Our first flight went fine...it was a different story about our second one.  As you can see, our flight got delayed for 6 hours! We were flight 9242, it actually departed at 10:30

We arrived back in Hawaii at 1:45 am.  By the time Randy and I got home it was 3:00.  I went to bed at 5, woke up at 8 then went to work at 9.  It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  I am going to bed early for the next few nights though!!

You didn't seem tired at all at work. But then again, I bet you fell asleep as soon as you sat down in the plane.

Wow, that is the hotel room from hell. Them bedbugs seem to be showing up all over the place. For small buggas they sure get around.
