Painting With Bea

Saturday, May 7, 2011
Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden

My dad has always loved to paint. I think the gene stopped with him. Well, maybe my sister Pam has some artistic qualities but I sure don't have any! I'm really good at drawing stick figures and happy faces. Anyways, he's been taking an adult painting class and for the month of May the student's artwork is being displayed at Ho'omaluhia's lecture room gallery. Tonight was the opening reception...

This is his instructor, Bea Hunt
Blaise Smith
Christine Park
Myra O'Brien
Bernice Bishop-Kanoa
Susan Locke
Carol McAneeley

Wow, you did a great job showcasing everybody's work. Very, very talented people. I don't think the gift stopped at your dad. You do a mean stick figure drawing.

yah Erick, you should see my mom's house, it's like a art gallery. There's more paintings up than family pictures!

Like Jalna said, I do a mean stick figure drawing! I'll draw you one someday :)
