Garden of Fortune

Chinatown

Jalna's new friend, Mano had asked her if she could get some pictures for his friend's store Garden of Fortune. They specialize in fresh smoothies and they needed some pictures to hang in their store to advertise the different flavors they offer. Jalna let me tag along so I could practice with my oh-so-frustrating 100mm macro...go check out Jalna's blog to see how to really use this lens!

While she was setting up I started taking some pictures of some stuff around the store....
Almost ready...
This is the Ken's (the owner) kids sharing a smoothie. So cute yah?
We were having a little difficulty positioning the bananas so they'd look just right, this was the best I could do...
This was Jalna's idea for an appealing look! hahahahaa!!
This is their machine to extract sugar cane juice. It's pretty neat!
It squeezes everything out and then all your left with is the husk!
Viola! Sugar cane juice! It was actually quite tasty!

You got some REALLY GREAT SHOTS!!! I think you're gonna start liking that 100mm soon! And what's wrong with the shot of the banana appearing out of nowhere, hah? Anyway, it was choke good fun, especially with you there.

I think that banana picture should be used on their homepage if they ever make a website :) I think you can even see your arm if you look closely! Thanks Jalna! It was super fun!

You got some great pictures...I forgot to mention on Jalna's blog...I love how they use the fine glasses...makes the drink look so elegant. Did they add something to the cane juice to make it green?

Thanks Mano! Call us anytime you need help! :)

Betty - yah, we were expecting those plain ol disposable cups. We were pleasantly surprised when they poured them in nice glasses! It made our job much easier! I didn't see them add anything to the juice to make the green color, but I could've missed something :|
