San Francisco, Day 6

Tuesday, April 27, 2010
A cold, windy day in San Francisco

Today was a horrible day to take pictures...it was extremely cold and windy and it rained off and on all day. I took my camera to lunch only because I wanted to get pictures of Gott's Roadside Burgers. I was thrown at first because it's name was recently changed from Taylor's Automatic
Refresher. **For those of you who've been here, it's the same restaurant, just different name! This restaurant is definately one of the top three burger joints on our list. It's located in the Embarcadero Ferry Building. You must come here if you're in the area!!
My yummy cheeseburger and fries...
Randy also got a bowl of chili on the side
Ok, right after he ate the burger, fries, and chili, Randy walked out to the open market and decided he wanted to eat a tamale also!!
I don't know where he puts all this. This guy is a bottomless pit!
The rest of the day was pretty much worthless. We walked around chinatown a little bit but it was cold and rainy.

For dinner, Ruby and I met with my old boss Randy and his wife Jasmine at La Bergerie. It was a cute little french restaurant near the hospital. I brought my camera to take a picture of the food but I was too shame to take pictures in there. It was a quaint little place and I didn't think it would be appropriate to bus' out my camera in the middle of dinner. The food was tasty, I ate rabbit for the first time! It was also very affordable. Soup, salad, main dish and ice cream for $18.95! I guess you can't go wrong there!

Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow so I can take more pictures of this great city...

What a neat-looking place! The cheeseburger looked good. Loving your photos. I like the shot of Ruby. Poor rabbit.

mmiissee - it was ono!! They serve it with a good bun too, a must!!

Jalna - We love this burger place. I got into a fight with randy cause he was gonna go without me. >:( Long story. I liked the shot of Ruby too but I had so much trouble with the white balance! It kept coming out funny! I gotta try again when I get home. Yah, poor rabbit. My boss kept telling me that I was eating Bugs Bunny. I felt strange at first eating it but if I didn't think about it then it wasn't that bad.

Ooo! I love rabbit. Wow, $18.95 for all that food in a French restaurant in SF!! Pretty darn good! Yesterday was a yucky day, it rained all day here, sometimes pretty hard and then the sun came out around 6 pm or so. The sun is out now and it should be a good day. Hopefully it is in SF too. That burger place in the Ferry building looks pretty cool. If we take the ferry over to SF from Vallejo we disembark at the Ferry building. Then catch the ferry back from Fishermen's Wharf.

Betty, it's actually a French restaurant run by Vietnamese. I don't usually eat French food so I have nothing to compare it with, and I can't tell if it was "good." It was tasty though! I'm not sure if I'd eat rabbit again, it just felt weird eating it :|

I've never taken the ferry, I've always wanted to, maybe one day I will...probably to Sausalito or something :)
