Randy and the Marathon...

Honolulu Marathon

Ok, since I didn't train at all so I decided not to do the marathon this year. So, Randy went by himself. He walks really fast normally but I can't believe how fast his time was....this is how it went: first of all he's walking this because he tore some ligaments in his left knee and he hasn't gotten around to getting it fixed yet.

So at the beginning of the race, maybe 4-5 miles in or so he decides he's hungry. He stops at 4, yes 4! ABC stores looking for musubis but he couldn't find any.

He also took a shi shi break at Royal Hawaiian Hotel.

Out in Hawaii Kai by Jalna's house there's a little convenience store and he went in there to grab a snickers bar.

I met him about 500 yards before the finish line, and about 50 yards before the finish line a japanese lady collapses and he goes over to help...

AND HE FINISHES IN ABOUT 7 HOURS. >:( This only upsets me because when we walked together the last 2 years we came in around 8:20!!

Now I gotta train again for next year so I can try to beat his time! He did say he jogged a little here and there but, ugh! that's not fair!

Here's a picture of him taken by Jalna by her house....according to Jalna he "was still fresh" when he passed her. This is right before the Snickers Bar :|
This is where I met him...sheesh! so serious! He doesn't even notice me!
After all of that, he still had enough energy to do all this silly stuff at the finish line!

He actually was in a lot of pain afterwards...he had some blisters and sore muscles. Good job Booly! But I'm coming after you!!
