NYC day 5

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

Today wasn't much of a picture taking day, we did a lot of shopping so there wasn't much interesting stuff to blog about. Josh started off the day with a haircut at the Carsten Institute. These are student cosmetologists so it was really cheap...$18.74 to be exact!

While he was cutting his hair, Randy, Johnathan and I went to get a snack at Milk.
Johnathan got the blueberry cookie
I got the chocolate chip-marshmallow
Randy got a cereal milk...yes, it really does taste like cereal milk!

and a pork and egg bun. This was REALLLLY good. It's like Peking Duck except they use roast pork and a sunny side up egg.
Johnathan was still hungry so he got a banana from the street. Here he is using it as a telephone...
Union Square had a farmer's market today. Why can't we have farmer's markets like this? They had some really good produce here for dirt cheap! Randy bought 3 lbs of apples for $1!!!
Here's Josh!! Looks good yah?
We saw this in a window of a Halloween shop. I thought it was hilarious.

Hey, that Momofuku Milk Bar is sooo neat. We need one here. That can be your new business instead of a coffee kiosk. By the way, guess what's opening up next month at the old FroYo Place . . . The Sake Shop!! The owner's name is Nadine. Pretty good, hah, I get connections already.

It is neat yah? Expensive though! All of that cost me 20 bucks! Sake shop?? Oh noooooo...don't tell Randy...Dr. Jeff would probably enjoy that too. How come you get connections?

I was next door to them buying a bento. Nadine and this guy were measuring the sign, and I said, "Hi, what's gonna be here?" Nadine said, "The Sake Shop." So now I get connections . . . hey, I know her name.

Jalna suggested I check out your NYC photos. I love the colors of the fruit and veggies at the farmer's market! You are so lucky to be there...I can't wait to go back some day!

bebedeer -- I love going to farmer's markets like this! Everything looks so good, and it's pretty cheap! I wish we had big markets like this back home...

I love NYC, I don't know when i'll come back again, but I hope it's soon :)
