NYC Day 3

Statue of Liberty

We didn't do much today, but this turned out to be an all day thing. We started out at 10:30 this morning and headed off to Battery Park to catch the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. Once again, my reliable 'ol Meclizine did the trick. The water wasn't that rough but getting on and off the ferry was VERY rocky. I would've been miserable.

We got to the island about 11:30...
We had tickets to go up the monument level of the statue, so we took the journey up there. After about an hour of standing in line and going through security, this is what we saw...
You don't ge to see much but you can look up Lady Liberty's dress!
views from the statue...

**It kind of wasn't worth waiting in line for an hour to climb up to the monument. Maybe if you get tickets to go up to the crown then it would be better. You have to reserve those about a month in advance!

By the time we got done and back to the apartment it was about 5:30. I passed out for about 5 hours (!!), but I figured out it was because of the side effects of the drugs. But still, I'd rather be sleepy than sick! Not sure what were doing tomorrow, but I'll be sure to keep you updated!

Wwwahhhhh, seeing the Statue of Liberty reminds me of Frank McCourt, and how he felt when he saw her. I can't believe he's gone . . . Waaaahhhh!
