Doug, Julie, and Kaiden

Lanikai

This is Debbie's cousin Doug, with his wife Julie, and son Kaiden. They also are here visiting from Seattle so I thought I'd take them to the Windward side to get some pictures with the beautiful sunset...

Today has had to be the worst day ever to take pictures. As Jalna puts it "this is was worst vog EVER!!" The sky had absolutely no color at all the whole time we were there. I was really disappointed. The one good thing was the beach was empty so I didn't have to worry about photoshopping out people lying on the beach!

I snuck in a few pics of Debbie and Brian too...

Waikiki...

Randy's cousin Debbie is visiting from Seattle with her husband Brian. I asked them if they were willing to be guinea pigs for me cause I wanted the practice taking portraits with the sunset....they graciously agreed. Thanks guys! It was fun!

Baby Quentin, 2 wks old...

Saturday, October 24, 2009

I took a quick (very quick...I was only there for an hour!) visit to my sister's house to see the baby today and I thought I'd take a few shots while I was there...hopefully I can get back there soon before he starts getting too big to take a few more!

I don't think he appreciated it when I turned him over...
My favorite shot of the day...

Castle Medical Center

Baby Quentin Denichi Terada was born yesterday, October 11 at 3:31 pm at Castle Medical Center. 7 lbs, 12.4 oz, 19 1/2"

I couldn't make it to the hospital yesterday, I was still feeling under the weather and I was exhausted from the flight home. Mommy and baby are doing well, Karie is relieved that he finally came, she was miserable the last couple of weeks!
I don't know what it is about baby's feet, but I love taking pictures of them!
Only a day old and he's already giving me stink eye...
Claudia was able to visit while I was there also...

NYC Day 8

Brooklyn

Randy and I wandered off on our own today and took a tour of the Brooklyn Bridge given by Big Onion Walking Tours. These tours are led by college graduate students and it only cost $15. Since we walked the bridge last year, I didn't take much pictures today but if you would like to see the ones I took last year, you can see them here.
We crossed the bridge and headed into Brooklyn...
There also was an Avon Breast Cancer Walk going on so there were a ton of people crossing the bridge today!
It was a beautiful day for a walk...a crisp 60 degrees and sunny
heading to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade
Gorgeous views of the city from here...
Looking out towards the Statue of Liberty
Isn't this a cute name for a lane?
heading back over to the city...
