The Hawaiian Railway, Ewa Beach

We celebrated Kawana'ao's birthday at The Hawaiian Railway all the way in Ewa Beach. Kawana'ao loves trains so what's a better way than to spend the afternoon riding Oahu's only active railway! Oh yah, this was my FIRST time ever babysitting Dylan...yah, yah, yah, I know, what a terrible aunty! He's already three and I've never babysat?? Well, it was worth a try...

Dylan likes cactus plants for some reason, and if you look closely you can see the evidence of the blue Slurpee that Aunty Leslie bought him on the way!

Here's Xayden playing on the train

Is your tongue blue???

This is the adorable cake that Anne and Brandee made...isn't that soooo neat??

And here's the birthday boy!!

Mommy, daddy and Kawana'ao

Aunty Leslie, wanna snocap?

ALLLLLLL ABOARD!! Do you have your ticket??

Kawana'ao and gramma

Anyone want to take a nap? You can use Aunty Kathy as a pillow!

Dylan Goes to the Farm Fair...

Hawaii State Farm Fair
Bishop Museum

My sister and I took her son Dylan to the Farm Fair at Bishop Museum...as you can see, he was very excited!
But when we got there, he wasn't too interested in playing with the animals, so I did instead!

I thought this guy was really cute but he was so far to the ground I tried to shoot him blindly.

Hey, looks like he even smiled for this one!

He finally pet ONE animal...

We then went inside to the bug exhibit (thank goodness for air conditioning!!), and he really seemed to like this fly guy...we stood there for a looooong time!

I didn't take many pictures in there because it was really dark, but this is my favorite picture of the day...

Sunrise in Lanikai

Lanikai Beach, Kailua

Jalna taught me how to stitch together a panoramic picture so I thought Lanikai Beach would be the perfect place to try it out. I woke up at 4:30 in the freakin morning hoping to catch a beautiful sunrise, but as I was driving over the Pali it was pouring rain!! Thankfully it was dry in Kailua but it was VERY cloudy...as you can see there won't be much of a sunrise today...this is how it was at 5:45 (3 sec exposure, it wasn't really this lighted yet!)

here are some shots as the sun started coming up...

Here's my attempt at the panoramics...thanks Jalna!
