Christmas Eve in Pearl City...

We had Christmas Eve dinner at Randy's parent's house in Pearl City...Shabu Shabu was on the menu and Randy's brother Kenny must've brought enough food for the whole neighborhood! I'll start off with the desserts:

Oh yah, this blog goes out to Jalna...yes, I finally busted out my macro lens. I thought I'd give it a try. Not sure if I like it yet but it was easier than shooting those darn wedding rings!!

Mama Kuba's pineapple upside down cupcakes
I made pumpkin chocolate chip cupcakes
Before dinner I caught Josh practicing some skateboarding skills...
Johnathan wanted in on some of the action too!
Cute yah!
Now he's showing me all his gifts...
Johnathan and Jodie's gingerbread house
Here's the Argentinean nativity scene...except I don't know where those two ladies came from in the back! They weren't in Buenos Aires when we bought them! hahahaha!
Randy received this as a gift, he said it was pretty good
The official wine taster...
pupus...sorry, forgot to take pictures of the poke!
Even though he enjoyed the wine, this was Randy's beverage of choice...big surprise there. In case you were wondering, NO, he didn't finish off the bottle!
Time to make some shabu shabu!

The whole sha-bang...notice there are two pots? Yup, one for us allergic-to-seafood-pathetic ones, and one for everyone else
Kenny made some type of miso based broth. It was yummy!

Dylan's Christmas Program

Friday, December 18, 2009
Kailua United Methodist Church

Dylan had his first Christmas program tonight. He attends KUMC preschool in Kailua. This program was really cute, and really short! I swear it only lasted about 15 minutes! This left me with a very small window to shoot, and of course, like always, I ran into problems...I hate flash photography!!

Here we are "backstage" waiting for the program to start...
Mommy and Quentin patiently waiting for the program to begin

I couldn't get much of the other kids, cause as you can see, people's heads were in the way.
